Anurag is one art fanatic which is hard to come by, for him art is a way of life. Starting his tattoo adventure back in 2013, when he saw a local artist with a tattoo kit. The sight of the tattoo machine caught his attention. This triggered his infatuation with this art form, which over the years turned into the love of his life, which he quite cheerfully admits.
Being an art school graduate, Anurag has a strong foundation on the illustrative genre. According to him everyone has a dark side inside them, which he is very fascinated with and wants to explore more. He draws his inspiration from artists across different mediums, be that tattoo artists or illustrators. “I don’t discriminate with art or artists” is how he likes to put it.
“I am somewhat of a purist when it comes to art; I have spent the last few years dedicating my entire time to it. After years and years of practice, once I got enough confidence I started to post my works online. To much of my surprise, it garnered a lot of attention, which made me consider this as a profession. In
my early days, custom designing didn’t come to me naturally, I had to grind and really get a hang of it. Some of my works were noticed by Niloy da, he then encouraged me to pursue it further by giving me a spot at Lizard’s Skin Tattoos. Since then life has been quite a joy ride, as an artist im evolving everyday by seeing my peers and seniors who are my source of inspiration.”
